Application Programming Interface (API) now available
In order to improve the user experience, FirstRate5 has enabled an API to allow raters to build custom applications that automate their interactions with the FirstRate5 website. This new feature is likely to be of most interest to users who undertake a high volume of assessments. The API is a set of programming instructions and standards for accessing the web-based software application of FirstRate5. This means users can develop their own software to allow an increased throughput of jobs and reduce the time required to use the FirstRate5 tool. To access and use the API, users must agree to the FirstRate5 API License agreement terms. This agreement can be requested via email from [email protected]. Once the agreement has been signed, Sustainability Victoria will provide a set of instructions and a key to access the API. Users will need to develop their own software application to interact with the FirstRate5 site at their own cost. Technical support survey results In May 2014, Sustainability Victoria invited feedback on the FirstRate5 technical support service, software, and certificate generation website through an online survey. More than 250 FirstRate5 users completed the survey, highlighting a number of opportunities for Sustainability Victoria to improve the user experience. Users can download the survey results, guidance on how users can best use the FirstRate5 technical support service and further useful information at the following link. FirstRate5® Technical Support Survey Results Sustainability Victoria would like to take this opportunity to thank all FirstRate5 users who responded to the survey and provided valuable feedback. |
